Managed Services Company in Ghana
Hankaka runs your IT operation in Ghana for a predictable monthly fee: monitored infrastructure, a certified service desk, scheduled maintenance and same day onsite response from engineers based in Accra and Tema.
What a managed services company does, and what we run in Ghana
A managed services company takes ongoing responsibility for running an organisation's IT for a predictable recurring fee, rather than charging for each incident. Hankaka Technologies delivers managed IT services in Ghana from our Accra base, with certified engineers based in Accra and Tema.
The distinction that matters when comparing managed services companies in Ghana is who carries the risk. In a break and fix arrangement, every failure is revenue for the provider. In a managed arrangement, every failure is cost. That single change of incentive is why a managed provider invests in monitoring, patching and prevention, and it is the reason to structure the contract this way rather than merely to outsource the same reactive work.
What is included in a managed service
- Monitoring of servers, endpoints, networks and connectivity
- Certified service desk across phone, email and ticketing
- Patching, updates and preventive maintenance on a schedule
- Same day onsite response in Accra and Tema
- Backup verification and restore testing
- Endpoint protection and security hygiene
- Vendor and ISP coordination handled on your behalf
- Asset register maintained as work is performed
- Monthly reporting against agreed service levels
- A named account owner and a scheduled service review
Who it is for: Ghanaian enterprises, financial institutions, NGOs and government agencies that want IT to be an operating cost rather than a series of emergencies. See the full managed IT services definition, or the wider IT company in Ghana overview.
What to check before choosing a managed services company in Ghana
Are the engineers employed, and where do they live? A managed contract is a promise about response. If the provider meets demand by calling whoever is free near your site, certification and consistency are aspirations rather than commitments.
Does the service level define severity? A single response target for every ticket is a warning sign. A branch outage and a password reset should not carry the same commitment, and a serious agreement says so explicitly.
What does the monthly report contain? Ticket counts alone tell you nothing. Look for volumes by category, resolution times against target, repeat incidents, and what is being done about the causes.
Who owns the asset register? If the provider does not maintain it as work is performed, it will drift, and by year two nobody will know what is deployed.
What happens at exit? Ask, before you sign, how documentation, credentials and the asset register are handed back. A provider confident in its service will answer plainly.
Which data protection framework applies? In Ghana that is the Data Protection Act 2012 (Act 843), alongside the EU GDPR where your organisation or your clients require it.

See what's includedHow managed services are priced in Ghana
Pricing is a monthly fee based on the size and shape of the estate and the service levels you need, not a per incident charge. The variables that move it are the number of users and sites, the number of servers and network devices, the hours of cover, and how fast you need someone physically on site.
The comparison worth doing is not managed fee against your current invoice total. It is managed fee against the fully loaded cost of the alternative: salaries, SSNIT and statutory contributions, recruitment, training and certification, cover for leave and departures, tooling, and the cost of the hours your business loses while a single internal person works through a queue alone. Our analysis of managed IT versus in house IT sets out that arithmetic in full.
Co-managed arrangements are common and often the right answer. Your team keeps the work closest to the business while we take the operational load, the out of hours cover and the onsite response.
