The challenge
A bilateral development agency operating a diplomatic mission in Abuja's central business district needed a new server installed and its ageing legacy server safely removed — a small, high-sensitivity task at a secure site where access, timing and clean handling mattered far more than volume.
What we did
We delivered the work as two carefully planned visits carried out by senior (L2/L3) technicians: first the delivery, connection and installation of the new server within a short on-site window; then, on a scheduled return roughly two weeks later, the disconnection and secure decommission of the legacy server once the new environment was confirmed stable.
How we delivered
Both visits were scheduled around the mission's access requirements and business hours, with technicians briefed to a clear objective and definition of done for each visit, and all activity recorded in the integrator's project tool. Handling the decommission as a separate, confirmed step avoided the classic risk of removing the old system before the new one is proven.
The outcome
A sensitive infrastructure change was completed cleanly and with minimal disruption at a secure diplomatic site — the new server installed within a two-hour window and the legacy server decommissioned on the planned return visit. It is the kind of small, precise, trust-dependent job that global partners struggle to staff locally.
