The challenge
A national environmental ministry, working with a national university under a regional coastal-resilience programme, needed to move a planned data hub from concept into day-to-day operation — turning a data platform into something people across the programme could actually populate, govern and use, and keep running without ongoing outside help.
What we did
We provided consulting services to operationalise the data hub: configuring the platform, establishing data governance and the workflows around it, defining roles and permissions, and producing the documentation the team would rely on. Throughout, the focus was on making the hub sustainable in the client's hands rather than dependent on a vendor.
How we delivered
We worked alongside the programme and university teams, established the operating processes, and delivered the training and knowledge transfer needed for the university to own and run the hub — so capability stayed inside the institution rather than leaving with a contractor.
The outcome
The programme moved from a data platform on paper to an operational, governed data hub, with defined processes, documentation and trained people, handed to a national university to run and sustain.
